The word religion became something to dislike
Its not true

Think of the Catholic Church
So many men that went to South America
Destroying all that they saw
Pulling down the buildings
Melting all the gold

I make up a song on the spot

To try and talk about god
He can’t talk for himself

Maybe what I say is confused
I have no regrets and no other issues
I just wanna feel the energy from you
Not the culture I am in
Not the name I was given
Not anything of religion
Personal god
Universal god
Free from all of us
No judgement no hiccups
Everything is love

I hear a jangle inside inside my head
I know that god is in it
Don’t need a book
Don’t need a priest
Or any other robbers at this feast
As I am seeing it
As it is telling it to me
All the social and academic constructs
Of religion and sexuality and race

I think that’s for a reason
They just get in the way of what im seeing

I usually avoid things ike this and funerals and weddings and all those days
We were sitting in a circle and had time to look at others faces
And dance and dance for hours and hours
In the animal way
